I was in a car accident in December. My coverage began hours before the accident occured. A witness stayed at the scene of the crime to give her statement to the police. She had been waiting at the bus stop near the accident and saw the entire event take place. Knowing this, Progressive refused to cover my claim. They charged me for being insured on the date of the accident and threw out the only evidence I had stating that the bus runs too frequently! This message is to warn prospective and current customers to think twice about what insurance company you choose because when the going gets tough, Progressive keeps going. It's almost as if they want you to pay your premium and when it is time for them to pay you, they look for any reason not to. Learn from my experience, DO NOT BECOME A PROGRESSIVE MEMBER! They'll only rip you off and give you the run around.
