January I lost my keys to my vehicle. I went to the Cerritos Pontiac, Buick, GMC and Hummer dealer in Cerritos in which they made me a replacement key.
2 months after receiving the key, I began to have problems with my ignition. Then the whole ignition unit locked on me.
I had the vehicle towed to the closest GM dealer who advised me that the problem that caused the ignition to lock is due to the faulty key. The key that was made was not compatible with my ignition unit.
A complete housing unit for the ignition was needed and the cost to me was $726.08.
I called the Cerritos dealer and spoke with Lynn Wilkerson who refuses to rectify the situation and claims it is not their fault. The Cerritos dealer is refusing to accept the fact that they made and issued a key that was not compatible with my cars ignition unit.
I am requesting that the company reimburse the $726.08 that I had to pay to replace the whole housing unit.
