I have experienced gouging by Jensen on numerous occasions, but I give them all the credit in the world for putting in the hard time discovering every way in which to squeeze every penny out of a sale. That said, on this particular occasion, I decided to give the yet again named, "Best of Omaha" Jensen Tire a shot for a simple oil change.
For $34.68, I (allegedly) had my oil changed and tires rotated. Upon arriving at my home, I noticed the front driver's side tire looked a bit flat, but upon testing the pressure, it appeared fine, so I shrugged it off. At the end of today (the second day after the change), I decided to fill up and top off the pressure on my tires. To my surprise, what I thought would be adding air was actually taking it out. The pressure went from the 30s to 20s to below 10.
I then was able to slowly drive to a Walmart Tire and Lube Express where they diagnosed the problem: the tire wasn't on properly. It was apparently slammed onto the wheel in such a fashion that damage was done allowing air to escape. I was repaired by Walmart's team for $9.95 and they even checked my air filter for free. I'm sure Jensen could find a way to tell me that this would normally be a $15 service.
Do yourselves a favor. Go to Meineke, Brake Masters, Phillips 66, whomever, just don't go to Jensen. As far as being the Best in Omaha? I know how much those awards cost and with the money JT brings in, it's no surprise they keep "winning" them.
