I am a 20 year old male, working at Tinker AFB. I owned a 2003 Dodge Ram and went to David Stanley Dodge to try and get a newer, and better dodge truck from them, this was on October 23. While the deal was going on my salesman Gary Lewis and his manager Chris Forsythe told me that they could not trade my truck in because i was upside down in it. They both told me that if i wanted the newer truck (2007 Dodge Ram 4x4) that i should "voluntarily drop the loan" on my 2003 truck.
My first concern was was it going to be a reposession on my credit? Both men replied "NO"! They said they would contact the company that had the loan on the 2003 truck and let them know what i had done and that i should'nt worry about anything, everything was under control.
A few months have passed and the company i had the 2003 truck kept calling and harrassing me about payments. After getting back with David Stanley Dodge and my salesman Gary Lewis i was told to not worry about anything. After getting more calls from the loan company i finally told them what i had done and who they should contact at David Stanley Dodge about the truck.
A few weeks had passed and the loan company got back with me again saying that the 2003 WAS going to be a repossession and that i needed to start co-operating with them to give them the truck back.
I contacted my attourney for pre-paid law about everything and they sent out a letter to the loan company to let them know what was going on, and to David Stanley Dodge so we could work out an agreement. David Stanley's lawyer got back with mine saying: "we did not do anything wrong, but we would be happy to renigotiate the contract".
The other night a lawyer representing the loan company for the 2003 truck said that i was going to be sued if i did not start co-operating with them and give up the truck! This was on February 6. A friend of mine and i went to David Stanley Dodge to show one of her "associates" that the truck has been sitting on David Stanley Dodge's car lot since October and that they had been denying to the loan companys lawyer (of the 2003) Ms. Elizabeth Bostic that this truck was on the lot, that they never met me, and that David Stanley Dodge has ever had a contract with me!!! You would think that if they were going to lie then they would get their story straight!!!
Above all, my credit score has dropped 200 points because of David Stanley Dodge, and it was perfect credit! Now, i am a 20 year old with a truck i do not want from these crooks, i am forced to live at home and not able to buy anything and it's making my life extremely difficult especially with getting a place for my fiance and myself! All i wanted them to do was do a Dealer Buy Back on the 2007 and just fix all the damages to my credit and give me back my 2003 truck! They don't even want to do this!
Beware!!! David Stanley is a CROOK!!! His employees are all CROOKS!!! And no matter who you are, they like to see their 'customers' walk out bold legged!!!
