This company not only sell unreliable cars but they also sell a false since of professionalism to prospective employees. Since I have started working with this company, I have heard managers and supervisors have unethical conversations while at work. Some conversations with sexual connotations, disrespect to women, and life outside of work. I am sure this goes on at any workplace but more employees need to realize they do not have to take such abuse! I am upset with the way this company handled a recent violation of their drug policy. I am still employed and have nothing to do with this investigation because I am not a drug user but I am angry at their methods to sustain the truth. Their investigations included asking several employees to name people involved in criminal intent to distribute marijuana on their premises and smoked the substance while on company property. Several people lost their jobs because they were named by other employees who, in fact, engage in this behavior themselves. The manager of the Parts Distribution Center, Doug Wallace, did not drug test these individuals to see if these people are drug users. I just do not think finger-pointing and name calling was the way to end the drug investigation. The majority of Kia employees utilize company cars because it is a benefit offered to them (I would never buy a new Kia and certainly not a used one). These cars should have been searched. There are very few honest people in this world and I do not think that just because a fellow employee says that you took part in a violation means that the employee-in-question should be fired. Doug Wallace is not a hard working individual who wants success in his position, he is simply a man making a significant income to do minimal work. I wonder why no one complained about the alcohol on the premises that one supervisor brought in. Although the supervisor had one hour left before he satisfied his shift, this is still inappropriate. I work with a bunch of incompetent men that belittles their employees and are not tactful when criticism is needed. I think the Lawrenceville location is a terrible place to work. You have some great people who walk around with their joy stolen and still we give this company 100% everyday. The little guys are tired of being stepped on and if we are hired to be professional and consistent, then we expect the same out of our work environment. Employees need to understand that prospective employers need to be thoroughly investigated before applying for certain jobs because we demand certain needs from prospective career markets. Employees for any company deserve respect, consistency, and fairness. This is an UNJUST place to work! I am looking for an employer to replace my current one now. This may be the reason that Kia's and Hyundai's do not run efficiently. If more of the time shucking and jiving was spent on the quality of service and product that was being offered to our dealers, we would be a great place to work and manufacture a great car to drive.
