A Plus Auto Transport, LLC AKA A Plus Auto Shippers Really Bad Service, Unfair Practices, Steer Clear!

A plus Auto Shippers agreed to deliver my vehicle to me in Michigan within 7-10 days after pickup from San Diego. On the 10th day the driver Ken, called to tell me he would be at my residence on day 11 between 9am & 11 am.

When he did not show, I began calling. All calls to him went straight to voice mail so I began calling the company. After about 7 calls to the home office and after being told different stories by several employees, the owner "Stoney" got on the phone, spoke to me very rudely (that's an understatment) yelled at me, blamed me, told me it was too bad, that there was nothing he could do, I would have to wait all the while cursing at me. I was in disbelief.

When I asked where "Ken" was, I was told he was "at his parents house somewhere in Michigan". When I asked why he never gave me a courtesy call to tell me he wouldn't be able to deliver the car today I was told he had no cell phone service and was unable to contact me. He also stated that I should consider myself lucky since he didn't charge me for the contents inside my vehicle. When I told him that "Roger" my salesman, said that I could have up to 100lbs of merchandise inside insured at no extra charge, he told me well I still should just should consider this my "lucky day" and I need to just to get off his a—! (yes, he said the word).

The phone call concluded when he hung up in my face. At the time of filing this complaint, my car has still not been delivered to me. Prior to the pickup of my car, A Plus charged a deposit of $150 to my debit card which they are holding. Since "Stoney" felt like I was insulting him by asking for a reduction in costs because of my inconvienence, he said he didn't want my money, he was reversing the charge to my card and I'd better have the entire $788 for the driver or I wouldn't get my car.

After explaining to him that it would take a full week before the $150 credited back to me and that I only had the balance of $638.00 available right now he then told me well that's too bad. Have the money or no car. Another employee later got on the phone and said that since I insulted the owner, I now need to pay the driver the full $788.00 when the car is delivered or my car would be taken to a tow yard in Detroit.

I sit here at the time of this writing, wondering where I'm going to get an extra $150. I have no way of knowing whether or not "Stoney" really even credited me. Since "Ken" is at his parents home wherever in Michigan that is, there's no telling what has happened to my vehicle and the contents inside of it.

Please steer clear of this company. I have filed a complaint with the Arizona BBB and I'm praying no physical damage or property theft has occured. I wish I'd checked ROR and read the previous report before I allowed this company access to my vehicle.

P.S. I've found 2 addresses for them: One in Peroria AZ and one in Palm Desert CA. "Stoney" claimed to be in Arizona.
