Brake job with no estimate, pedal to floor no calls back, they still have the car!

I took my vehicle in drivable condition for brake work. I called yesterday afternoon, and they said they would call the morning after with an estimate. At noon today, 7/03, I called (as I haven't heard from them) and they said that the work was complete. $434.00 or so dollars worth. Without arguing, I made arrangements to pick up the car, but asked what they did. Jennifer said she didn't know, and acted as if I was bothering her by simple asking what they found wrong. I then talked to someone named "Danny" who stated that they rebuilt the brake system. Upon picking the car up, the vehicle doesn't stop without putting the brake pedal to the floor.

I also received a copy of a recommended service stating that my transmission needs flushed, because the fluid is burned and brown. I thought this was strange because it was just serviced elsewhere, so I had a mechanic that was unaware of the recommended service papers, at the same Pep Boys take a look, (I said that I wanted to know if I could get this done) and they (A mechanic / technician named Dan, not to be confused with Danny mentioned above) said there was no reason to have this service done. The fluid was bright pink, and he said it looked new, and showed me. He then called the other mechanics there "*&* - nuts". I thought this was unprofessional. I told Jennifer about this, and she shrugged, and said "whatever the guys do that". She then asked if I was off tomorrow for the 4th, and I stated that I was. She then said "Well I'm in the wrong job, but it doesn't matter, we're all going to die anyways". This is almost as good as the mechanics / technicians calling each other *&*& nuts.

I have asked when / if the problem can be fixed. I was told that they didn't know, and was ignored by Jennifer for about 10 minutes while she helped other people. She grabbed my paperwork, and told me that I didn't need it, and needed to leave the car there, and that she would write the mechanic a note about it. I disagreed with this, and politely asked for my paperwork back showing what was done, and that I had paid, along with a copy of new paperwork showing that I still have the vehicle there.
Jennifer also had a very poor attitude prior to mentioning problems with the vehicle, and was just downright rude to begin with, aside from problems with the vehicle. When I purchased additional items, she said I had to carry them because she didn't have a bag. I asked if the cashiers had any and she stated for me "to go find out".

This is the most horrible experience I have ever had with ANY service related issue.
