I unloaded freight at different consignee's on several diffrent occassions and received the lumper fee for each trailer I unloaded... On one occasion I recalled, payroll asked for a receipt for freight I unloaded, which I could not find the original, so I faxed a copy of a receipt I had in my truck... When that receipt went thru, and one day talking to my dispatch, I ask is it ok for us to unload and receive monies if we turned in a a receipt as though we was the lumper... in no uncertain terms he said, " we do not pay drivers the lumper fee, however u can unload the truck yourself, but marten will only pay you 3 cents per box... So with that I unloaded approximately several trucks loads and turned in receipt...
I'm concerned over wording marten transport used in describing what happened in dac record... Marten said I altered receipts, and basically took monies from the company. If this was the case, at no time did marten ever take any money out of checks that I was to receive, and never did marten say I owed them any monies... I would like for wording to be revised as to what really happened, which is I lumped the assigned truck and privided a receit for what the inside lumper company said they get for doing whatever load I did... Thanks for responding and receiving this rebuttal letter...
