I took my car to Tom's Japanese Auto Specialists after it began prominently pulling to the right with a shaking in the wheel while my boyfriend was driving it to work. Then being aware that I was not in the car when the symptoms began Tom's told me the problem was caused by hitting something. They stressed that I must have hit it hard because the lower control arm and spindle and also the outer tie rods had been broken.
The estimate I was presented with totaled $933 with new parts or $788 with used parts. When picking up my car after wisely deciding not to have the work done with them the receptionist, Victoria, unsuccessfully attempted to charge me $35 for having the car on the lift for thirty minutes.
So I made an appointment with a mechanic I could actually trust. He graciously informed me the only problem was a tire that needed to be replaced due to a spot on it buldging out. I inquired about the previously mentioned parts and he assured me the only problem was the tire. Now, after the tire has been replaced, my car runs perfect.
