My car, a 2002 Mustang convertible, was towed into the nearest auto repair facility to my housewhich was the Wood and Fullterton Goodyear store. I knew my alternator was the problem. I asked them to call me before they did anything. I also asked them to do an oil change while it was there. They called me later and said the alternator would be $365.00. Since I thought that was outrageous, I called a local auto parts store and they gave me a price of $150.00 for that same alternator. I called Goodyear back and told them it was too much and they said they "had made a mistake and quoted me the price for a Chrysler Town and Countty Alternator" and mine would only be $315.00. They also told me I MUST get a new battery. At this point, my only option was to let them do it or pay a large wrecker bill to get it to another facility. So I told them to continue. When I picked up the car, my bill was $406.00... For a $150.00 alternator and an oil change. This facility is under relatively new management and did not appear to be busy at all. It used to be packed! I weonder why their business has fallen off??? Beware, do not go to this facility.
