On Sat. Oct. 14 I James Jones went to Bill Heard in Sanford to try and get into a car. After arriving to the lot and meeting Richard Boyd the salesman, we went into his office and we started talking about buying a car. I told him of my credit problems, he laugh and said no problem they could get anyone financed he even told me of a recent coustomer that they got financed a week ago with a credit score of 420. After hearing this I was encourged. After I signed all the papers he took them over to Rahim Madina who came in and took over, Mr. Madina informed me that i would need a co-signer and that it didn't matter who it was because they would only be on the loan for 6-8 months and after that I could get the car re-financed in my name only so I called my sister, she agreeded so they took her info over the phone about 10 minutes later Richard Boyd came back in and said that everything was ok and that he was taking the papers to my sister to signed, I asked why I thought you didn't need her to be here is what I was told in the biginning he told me oh she just has to sign a couple of papers and that on behalf of Bill Heard they wanted to make this whol experince as easy for us as possible and that while the car was being detailed he would drive to my sister's house in Orlando and get the papers signed and then return. So I called my sister to let her know that Richard Byod was on his way. (27 miles away) After he returned he came into the office along with Rahim Madina and told me that it would only be a few more minutes 35 minutes later they came and got me. When I went outside the car was parked in the front with a temp tag, detailed and ready Richard put an envelope in the glovebox and said here are the papers and enjoy your new car they both shook my hand and I drove off when I got home and me and my sister looked over the paper work we noticed that my name was no where on the paperwork which was strange because I signed them first. We then called the Dealership back to ask why wasn't I on the paperwork and what was going on. We were told that the Finance office was closed for the night and to come back in tomorrow @ 9:00am and everything would be taken care of. The next day I went back to the lot and when I got there I was told this sad story that the finance people summitted the wrong paperwork I ask how could could this be seeing on how my name was on the orginal paperwork Rahim Madina told me that because of my credit they had to redo the paperwork and had to put my sister's name first on the loan. I told them (very angry) that she already had a car loan and that she was tring to but a house and didn't need all this on her credit they told me that it wouldn't affect her credit it would only help her. So I called her and told her to come down. After about an hour she arrived we walked back to the office where we all got into a heated shouting match Rahim Madina told us that "On behalf of Bill Heard they would take care of everything and that they both were very sorry that the finance dept left me off the loan, and that the only reason this happened was because they were short staffed because they had 3 people quit that previous Sat. Mr. Madina then told us give him until 10:00am the next day and that everything would be fixed he promised so I said ok I will take off yet another day from work to resolve this. The next day I was there at 9:50am Richard told me that the bank had not yet responded back and that as soon as they did he would bring the paperwork out for us to resign I agreed to wait at home. Some hours later I called and asked what was going on I was told that and I qoute"Like we told you in the beginning that if we could not get this deal done we would VOID the contract" I said ok lets void the deal they told us to bring the car back. When we arrived back to the car dealership the people wasn't as friendly everyone avoided us they even paged Richard and Rahim overhead neither of which ever came up to the front so we walked back only to find them both sitting in the office looking as if they both had seen a ghost we asked why they didn't come when they were paged "no answer" by this time my sister is, "pissed off" then finally the used car director finally got involved and told us that he would take care us but, a few minutes later he sent another salesman in to re take our info 40 min. Later he came back and ask if we would walk with him outside thats when he showed us 6 different bank drafts stating that we were denied as long as I was on the loan
these drafts were from Sat Oct 14 he also told us that if the dealership found out he told us this he could loose his job I asked him could I have a copy he told me he couldn't but he advised us to call the main office in Georgia and just tell them of this whole ordeal. We called them but have not heard anything yet. And the bad thing about it is not only are we stuck with the car but now I have to pay 677.00 a month in the process because they never honored the price that was in the catalog of 19,999 we were told that we couldn't get that deal. So i ask you what now? Oh, and by the way we are in the process of seeking legal advice.
