Who really stole our quad? Malcolm Smith Motorsports of Riverside California...
We took our two Polaris quads in for a routine service with one that had a oil leak. Less than 80 hours on each of them. After a month in their possession no one called or returned our calls. Each time we did call we were on hold way too long. My husband went down to their location to get a status. They could not locate our Quads.
After 1 hour of waiting, the Manager comes out to tell us they could not service the Polaris brand of our quads. We would have to take them elsewhere.
In their search, they lost the keys, they found one totally in pieces the one with the oil leak. The other was stolen. They tell us they had four other quads stolen right out of their building that weekend. They mention they could not identify ours. My husband would not take the other until it was put back together. They were going to release it "as is" since they did not, do service on Polaris. OH but to mention they want to charge us for a Carb cleaning. HMMMM
We refused to take away until it was put back they way we brought it in. Their own Service Manager was upset that it was in disarray. Apologetic for the loss, but embarrassed.
To this day after 2 months have gone by, they still have our other one. Of course, not one call to let us know it is ready for pick up.
They advise us their insurance company would call us to get it replaced.in speaking with this carrier, "Universal Underwriters Insurance Company" The adjuster, tells us they do not replace them that they just send money to us or we can sue them if we are not satisfied with the results. We are getting letters from adjuster trying to send us the ridiculous amounts of monies and to settle quickly.
What the heck do consumers pay our insurance companies for, another rip off.
We gave Malcolm this opportunity to resolve this with their own Insurance company or they can replace the quad themself. This is why we have insurances. You would think they have more common sense to business but, evidently not!
We placed a call to Malcolm facility, speaking with Linda who is General Manager of Shop. Oh my, how rude and inpatient she was. The moment we translated the underwriters statement all she could hear was "lawsuit" and immediately was defensive and uncooperative. It's obvious she has heard this before. She said there is no reason to replace our property to shop the Pennysaver for replacement when we get our money.
In complete dissatisfaction, she refused to leave this matter with President of Company and she continued to argue. This individual who has the worst customer service skills, Failed to understand the details. She advised us to sue them that if her Insurance company advised us we should persue for results.
I cannot believe a "SO CALLED" reputable business like such would jeopardize their reputation and be such thieves of personal property. Does Mr. Malcolm really know how this gets across the industry?
This business is operating just to take consumers money and are irresponsible of personal property. They do not have the qualified technicians to provide service and try to trap you in their building they lie about their levels of service. They advertise they have "award winning service". Yeah right!

They should not be in business, I would not ever recommend anyone to take their bikes when they are not being secured or cared for!
Amazing, Malcolm will allow all their inventories be exposed for theft but do not replace a single bike when stolen.
This is a poorly managed operation and should be advertised until satisfied.
A consumer who has been ripped off literally!
