I don't know where to begin with this. But after reading the terriable stories. I felt I should include mines. And also hoping we can all get together and get something done, so this won't happen to NO ONE ELES.
Well on March 8 I went to "Just Brakes" in Lithia Springs, GA. I just moved to the Atlanta area about 1month ago.
Before I came to Georgia, I got my truck fully services. Brakes, tune-up, oil-change, tires rotate and balance, stereo system in truck, new wiper blades, new headlights the works.
Well on March 7 my cousin came home and stated to me that she heard noise coming from my brakes. I didn't want to prolong it, so I got up on March 8 went thru the Atlanta yellow pages to find a respectful services center that can take a look at my brakes.
First I called Midas, no answer, and 2nd I called "Just Brakes" and they were open, it was around 730am. I explain to them I heard a noise and I need to come and get my brakes check.
They told me I can come now. I was there within 10minutes. I went to "Just Brakes" in Lithia Springs, Ga and there was only two cars in the stalled.
I explain to the manager Mark, need to get my brakes check. About 40min pass, and Mark told me to come out to the stall where my car was jack-up in the air with all four tires off the truck. And Mark and the employee that was working on my truck started to explain to me, all the problems with my brakes.
That I need a new shoes, rotor, pads, wheel cylinder, caliper pistons, disc hardware, bleed, flush fill and adjust brake system, shik kit.
They stated this was cause by the corrison from being up north with the snow from being from Illinois. But when I got in my car that morning I didn't hear any noise that my cousin said, and I just got my brakes done at home with new rotors and pads.
I asked the Manager Mark how much will this cost... They took me in the office, and the employee who walk around with Mark and me, went in the office and made a call for parts for my truck. Like the investigator said "They seen me coming".. A single woman, with out-of-state-license plates and no ring on my finger. They gave me a estimate of $878.49 plus tax (what ever that would made my bill come out to).
I asked Mark and the employees what about the just pads and rotors and they wouldn't respond. I told them just put my tires back on my truck, and I will go to Midas and see what estimate they give me.
So they went back into the work area. And told me my truck will be ready for me. They were very rude, and act like they didn't want to talk to me. One of the employee back my car out of the stall, I ran out side to tell him not to pull up in front of the building due to there were long nails in the driveway.
I ran back inside to get my estimate from Mark, to let him know I was going to Midas to see what they say. Well to make a long story short... I left "Just Brakes" and was only in my truck for 2minutes, when all of sudden my tires flew off my truck..
My truck was damage from this, Just Brakes didn't put the lugs back on my tire. I could of die or become more serious hurt then what I was.
"Just Brakes" stated they are responsible and stated they will make sure my truck get repaired, but it took 2months to do so, and currently I'm still going thru issues with them.
I'm hurted behind this ordeal, and I don't recommend ANYONE to go to "Just Brakes", because they are that "Just Nothing".. And we need to take a stand and stop this before this web-site is filled with alot of complaints about "Just Brakes".
Or someone lose their life behind the way they are conducting business.
