Wells Fargo, Edwards, Archer Subaru ripoff, fraudulent credit applications submitted

On my return from basic training, my (now) wife and I decided that we would go purchase a newer car. We saw a car we liked at Edwards Archer and decided to look into it. After talking to the salesman about working out a deal, our credit applications were denied by Wells Fargo because we didn't make enough money.

At the time, I had a part-time job at UPS that I had just started, and was enlisted in the U.S. Army reserves. My (now) wife was currently unemployed, so they're reasonings were understandable. But then we got a call back from the dealership saying they fudged some of the numbers and we got approved.

We then went back to the dealership in the car we were trading in and signed the new paperwork with a higher interest rate but the payment was still the same as the previous, denied, paperwork. While sitting in the waiting room, the finance manager walked in, shook my (now) wifes hand and said, "Congradulations, you now work at ADT security!" Wanting the newer car, we signed on the dotted line and drove away in our, new-to-us car.

We then started to question how it all worked out, so we decided to call Wells Fargo and verify the information submitted by the dealership and make sure everything was correct. We were then informed that the information they had about our employment was that I had been working at UPS for somewhere around 5 years and making $2,200 a month, but I had only been working there for a week making $11.76 an hour part-time, and had no information about me being in the Army. Me being 19 at the time made it physically and legally impossible to work at UPS for 5 years. Therefor, ALL of my employment information was incorrect and fraudulently replaced and submitted by Edwards Archer.

My (now) wife's information was then pulled up and it said that she had been working at ADT security and had been for 2 years making $2,300 a month. She did work for ADT for 11 days, but that ended 6 months prior to us having any contact with that dealership, and we had never mentioned anything about her previous work history. Wells Fargo said that because her credit score was above 700, there was no need to verify our employment.

Shortly after recieving all this information, we contacted what we were told was the Wells Fargo fraud department. After telling them all the information we expected something to happen, and nothing ever did.

After talking to the sales manager about all this, he asked us to come in and have a meeting with him to discuss what happened. We went in there, sat down with him, and were amazingly disrespected. Being told we were just two kids that wanted to get out of something we signed and that his employees dont lie. I tried explaining that it wasnt about the payments being to high, because i could afford it, but that it was about doing it all legally and we didn't want to be apart of the fraud that they submitted to Wells Fargo and were just hoping to get out of it with my old car, they take the new car and sell it to someone else. We were told we could have copies of everything we had signed and everything that was submitted but had to wait till Monday because that office was closed on the weekends. We were then asked the 30-day payoff for the car by the manager and said we would get contacted by some one from the dealership.

A few days later I called and asked if I could stop in and get all of the documents and was told it wouldn't be a problem. I showed up and asked to speak to the financial manager to get them. When i approached him, he said nothing to me except gave me card and said, "Here is the number to our lawyer, if you need anything you can talk to him, we will no longer deal with you." I then asked if I could get the documents that we signed because I knew I was legally entitled to them and he once again refused to give them to me.

That was just earlier in now I am active duty, married, and have a child on the way and still stuck dealing with Wells Fargo. When I went active duty I went through the process of getting the soldiers and sailors relief act put into effect on my loan, which would reduce my interest rate to 6%. While they say that that is in effect, my car payments haven't dropped at all and everytime I call I get the run-around as to why it hasn't or something along those lines.

If anyone who reads this knows of some way we can be helped, please contact me as soon as possible. I'm getting ready to deploy very soon and don't want to leave the burden and stress of all this on my pregnant wife.

Thank you
