I called the Seized Auto Network April 2, their advertisement stated, they were selling repossed autos, and that local dealers would have the inventory.
When I was contacted by Antwerpen Dodge I thought they were the local Dealership, so I kept the appointment.
That's when the pressure began.in less than an hour they had the financing complete for a car. I said it was too quick, I needed time to think but the three sales men stayed on me.
I was led to believe, I could use my 95 Skylark as a trade in. It was after I signed the contract. I was told they were not going to use it.
The insurance was transfered to the new car, I had one day to turn in the tags and dispose of the old car without any assistance from them.
The next day I called to stop the deal. John Maddsen said it was to late. I explained, I could not buy now, it was too soon for me. I had senior prom and graduation coming up and I wouldn't have the money.
By now I had no choice but to keep the car. I felt trapped. I'm an insurance sales person and I depend on my car for work. Now I have to find a way to make it work.
John Maddsen did not stop, he found another financing company with a lower interest rate. On the contract he said I paid a $500.00 cash deposit. It was not true.
I came in the office to speak with him in person because he had stopped answering my calls. That's when he referred me to Ron Hurst, his loan officer.
I told Ron about my situation and I needed more time to save the $500 for the down payment him insisted I write a check and would not let me post date it., but he said he would hold it.
Before I could leave his office he said I needed a hug. He held me to tight. I was so upset I left leaving my contract on his desk. This happen on two ocassions. I was very uncomfortable. I felt violated. I reported him to John Maddsen, his immediate supervisor. He took no action. I told my sales manager what had happened so he came with me when I went back for the contract.
In the mean time the 2005 Sable was having major transmission problems, and if you apply the brakes in the slightes moisture it will skid to a stop. I begged to put me in a safer car. After weeks of avoidance by John and Ron. I called the manager over John Madden which is Marvin Smith and David Antwerpen.
I talked with Marvin Smith about holding my check a few weeks and I explained why. He said he would speak with Ron and have him call me. I thought it was taken care of. I left several messages for Marvin Smith and David Antwerpen they did not return my calls. I wanted to report Ron for sexual harrasment but I didn't feel safe with them. I told John Madden and he took no action.
In the mean time Ron put the check through early causing a$600 overdraft in my account. I lost about close to two weeks of work Trying to resolve this business and waiting for auto repairs.
This whole ordeal has caused me and my family great inconvience. I suffered so much anxiety around this issue. When I discovered the overdraft. I thought I was having a heart attack. I went to the emergency room and was admitt. I spent two days in the Cardiac unit. I am still hurting. I did all I could do to avoid the situation. No one would help me.
I believe they purposely held me off for time to elapse to lock me in this deal. I believe they took advantage of me because I am a black female. I feel ashammed.
I feel as though I was forced into this deal, it's like being rapped I said NO! And they didn't stop. I pray for relief. Please help me..
