To whom this may concern, I went to work for this Company on 01-01 till 05-30. My wife and I both worked for this Company as team drivers. If you go look at what they advertise for sign on bonus, performance bonus and safety bonus I am here to tell you there is no such thing. He also advertises reefers and he has none, he offers medical, dental and vision insurance and we were never offered it. We never made what he claims even as team drivers we never made what he claims a solo driver will make. The first truck we received from this individual was a pile of junk that burned approximately 2 gallons of oil per week. I told him from the beginning we did not want the truck and he made me a promise that he was getting two new trucks and we would have first choice. It was over a month before we got back to his location and the two trucks he originally promised were no where in sight. We ended up with another truck that was a little better but we were never reimbursed for the oil that we put into the original truck.in addition we were not given adequate time to do a thorough inspection of the truck, he stated we had a load to pick up right away. He tried to make us pay for an injector that went out in the first truck to the tune of 1400 dollars, I told him no way. We were working under a contract that was in my name and signed by my wife, we were told his secretary was a notary and would notarize the contract at a later date. We all know this is illegal and the contract was void from the beginning. We were also told by his former safety director that this individual was claiming taxes on the fuel we were purchasing as well as the permits and truck repairs. We were also told that he was claiming money on his insurance from damage that other drivers had done to his trucks all the while having his safety director perform the repairs, he charged the drivers full price when he actually did the repairs for next to nothing. We were also told that the insurance company has a clause that teams are not required to pay the 100 dollars a week only solo drivers, he said take it from everyone anyway. His office workers were told to lie to new or perspective drivers telling them they would make all this money etc when in fact it was all a lie. He basically makes new rules as he goes. As far as being home every weekend that too was a lie. We on several different occasions heard him cussing at drivers when we called into the office. He tells his office workers what they can eat or what they cannot eat while in the office. He is nothing short of a common criminal ripping off the average worker. When we gave our two week notice he took all the remaining truck payments as well as the balance of the down payment. He originally told us he would pay for all our Oregon permits and he never paid for any of them. He also took the five cents per mile maintenance out of all of our 75% instead of the 70% the contract stated. We are currently seeking legal action against this person as are other former drivers. I was told by his former Safety director that he has enough garbage on this man to bury him. I want to warn other drivers before they make the same mistake. It is really a shame that we let this happen to hard working Americans. We were also told at one point that my wife and I made him more money than all the other four drivers combined and yet he treats us like this. When I tried to phone him to talk to him about some of the things he promised, he hung up on me. I am seeking your help to inform my fellow drivers so this sort of behavior stops. This company also performs road tests for new drivers without a qualified person giving the road test. We noticed the equipment was at best less than safe; they have a horrible safety rating.
