On Friday March 10th I went to Don Kauffmans to look for a car. I test drove the car I bought a 99 jetta. There was some minor problems I noticed like the power windows went working, the button on the glove box was broken, and the steering was funny. I mentioned all the problems to him and he said he would have them fixed for me befor I took the car.
So the following monday I went to pick it up and none of it was fixed. He said it's all covered under my warrenty to bring it back and have the fix it and I would have to pay the deductable and everything out of my pocket. I was very unhappy but I took the car anyway not knowing all the other things that are wrong with it. I took it for MD inspection yesterday. It failed miserbly. I have a whole list of things that need fixed before it can pass.
I called DOn today and explained everything to him. He said there is nothing he can do because he has never and will never gaurantee MD inspection, he only guarantees PA inspection. I'm not even sure if that was the truth because I don't know how a car with a exhaust leak, 3 bad tires, 2 bad rotors, 2 bad upper strats plates, and an illegal head light could pass any inspection.
I told him if I have to get this all fixed on my own then I don't think I could keep the car, he said that's between me an my bank. When I talked to my bank today they said there's no way its between me and them, that he has to take the car back and give my money back. And now I'm stuck with a car that I can only drive for 3 weeks because after my temporary tags expire I wont be able to drive it untill I come up with alll this money to fix the car on my own
