Ripoff salesperson lied to me managers rude and unapologetic

I have an issue that noone will help me resolve in a timely fashion. After I signed the papers to purchase a car, that is when everything went downhill. I had written two checks one for $3000 and one for $1900 for the downpayment of a car. I told them they could cash the $3000 immediately, but i asked if they could hold onto the $1900 for a little while since i didn't have all the funds to cover that in my account. They said they would hold the check for a week.

I was able to come up with $1350 on my own, but couldn't come up with the rest. As the time approached for the payment, i asked the salesperson if i could get my friend to put some of the money on his credit card. He said ok, no problem. So i had $1350 of the money owed and my friend put $550 on his credit card to make the $1900 owed to the dealership. I asked the salesperson when i should come down so they could destroy the check that had been made out for $1900 and instead write them a new check for $1350. He said he would let me know.

The weekend came and went and i didn't hear from him. So i called him and asked him what was going on and he was extremely rude towards me and wouldn't tell me anything, he even hung up the phone on me twice. I got really nervous then and i knew something was wrong.

I found out that the dealership had cashed the $1900 check, thus causing my bank account to go into overdrawn status of about $500. So not only did the dealership get their $1900 they also have the $550 credit card payment my friend paid. They have more money than they should have and because of the salesperson's lies I have been put in a horrible financial bind.

It has been 3 days since this occured and i have yet to hear from anyone at the dealership when or how they will refund me money or if they will pay for overdrawn charges from my bank. I cannot understand how you can treat someone in this way after they have purchased your product.

I also talked to one of the managers who was unapologetic and had an indifferent attitude about my plight, even though it is because of one of his salespeople that i'm in the situation i'm in. Not once has anyone apologised or even tried to really listen to what i have to say.

I had to call the Chevy Corporation headquarters to file a complaint and to get them to intercede in my behalf, since the dealership did not seem to care. Never again will i or any of my friends and family buy anything from this dealership and most likely never again will i buy from another Chevy dealership.

In short most of the people i've been dealing with have either been rude, arrogant or unfriendly. I was led to believe everything was okay and now i'm stressed out, have an overdrawn bank account, had to borrow money from family members, just so i can eat, and i have no idea when i will get my money back. If you buy from here, pray that everything goes smoothly otherwise this is the kind of treatment you will receive.
