I will just give the short version of what I experienced at the Kia of Waukegan part of the Rohrman auto group. I purchased a 02 Kia Sedona minivan I gave $2,500 as a down payment on 2/25/06 it died on me on 2/27/06 with my 5 yr old, 1month old & myself stuck in the cold.

The car was towed back to the dealer, & I was told there were no loaner cars available that night & that I was not eligible for a rental car because I signed a paper that basically said I had 3 days for a bank to finance me or they would take the car & give me back my money. I understood the paper to mean that it would take 3 days to process my info & let me know what bank would finance me.

No one even offered to just put me in another 02 Sedona. So they tell me call back tomorrow & talk to service they'll tell you what's wrong with the car. Man no apology for selling me a piece of crap, & no apology for having me & my children stuck in the cold.
So I call the next day at noon, service has not gotten to the car yet I ask for the GM who is out sick, then I ask for the other manager who is busy. My boyfriend is upset & goes to the dealership at about 5:30pm now of course service department closes at 5pm and of course they have not looked at the car & they still do not apologize or offer an alternative to the situation.
My boyfriend calls me & I say tell them I want my money back, so he tells the manager who say's only the GM can sign the checks & he is in the hospital. So I wait until Friday & by this time I'm highly upset because I have no car & they still have my money. The cashier tells me that another manager on the premises can sign checks.

So I come back to the store I speak with her & she tells me there needs to be 2 signatures hers & the GM's who is in the hospital, but she tells me she can get the other signature from another GM within their group so I say fine I'll come back in an hour which she agrees upon. And of course, no apology for me wanting my money back, or the fact that I've had to wait this long for my money. And no alternative to solve the problem. My boyfriend & I return an hour later when we are told the person who could sign the check (who by the way is not the GM she was telling me about) is not there & would not be until Monday so I would have to wait for my money.

So being as furious & outraged as I was I proceeded to yell & cry in the middle of their sales floor. After of about 2 minutes of my outburst the manager went in the office came back out with my check & asked one of the sales people to go to the other dealer & get the signature.

Now 1st of all notice with all that I went through no one ever apologized for anything. 2nd they never offer an alternative. 3rd they act like they don't even want to do business with me. And why did I have to act a fool to get my money back. I never knew a salesman to not finish a sale, maybe they made so much money that month they didn't need my money which is how they acted.
