Last Wed. Morning I was driving on the freeway I-75 south. I couldn't avoid a piece of rolling metal, it put a hole in my gas
tank, approximately three & half inches by half an inch. I stop
at the first repair station which was located on 12961 Dix at Northline in Southgate MI.
It was a MoBil gas station. I talked to the mechanic amed "MIKE" the cost of the gas tank was $70.00 on the bill it was $83.00. He said the "LABOR COST" $75.00 on the bill it was $175.00. Now because the gasoline tank was empty he said he put in $4.00 of gas at $1.37, I looked at my gas gauge it was very low.
I stopped at an other gas station, going North on Northline Rd. About 2 miles, on my way home. My reciept total for gas was $17.00 for 13.396 Gal. Unl @$1.269. My car is a 1990 Ford Tempo it hold app. 14 gallons of gas. As we can see it is apparent that it was over-charges in labor, costs of materials, and fuel.
I know I'm not the only person who been rip-offed by these repair stations. We need to fight back in legally in the courts, better results and recompensation for our overcharges!!! THANK YOU. Damaso flores jr.
