There is a lady picketting the local Just Brakes in Kingwood who referred me to this site.
As I told her...
Approx 2 years ago I felt it was time to get a brake job on my '97 Ford F150 4WD pickup. I did a visual inspection of the truck a few days before to see what was up with the brakes and everything looked good visually in the front drive line from transfer case to the wheels.
I bring the truck in for the brake job, and a few hours later get a call that the front CV boots are torn up and should be replaced at the tune of $60 each.
The mechanic had to have taken a knife to them and cut them, as they were fine just 2 days before. He couldn't even have damaged them in the brake job, as they do not need to be removed or fooled with during a brake job. It had to be deliberate.
Also I got the song and dance about if I didn't make certain repairs, I was going to die in a fiery car crash within minutes of leaving the store.
Everyone I have ever talked to about Just Brakes has gotten that same spiel.
Anyhow it is too late for me to do anything about it, but just wanted to add my 2 cents.
