I, too, am a victim of this company. After speaking with one of their customer service representatives, I was told that my payment arrangments were all set and that everything was fine.
A week later, a repo company came knocking on my door at 9:00 P.M. To take the car. My attempts to resolve the situation were a waste of time. Each individual at that company gives you a totally different story and nobody is accountable for anything they tell you.
One way that we can all fight back against this company is to contact auto dealerships throughout the country and tell them of our experiences with Americredit. If enough people contact the dealerships and put them on notice that we will not do business with them and we will do our best to keep our friends from purchasing autos from them, you can bet they will eventually listen and stop using Americredit. Simply point the dealerships to the 750 websites with complaints about Americredit.
