Auburn Motor Sales
Unsafe Ford truck

On February 15th I bought a new 2000 year model F350 4x4 pick-up truck from a Ford dealer called Auburn Motor Sales, in Auburn, IN. On March 7th, with 742 miles on the truck, someone cut in front of me and I had to slam on the brakes. The truck made a hard left and I went across the oncoming lane and the shoulder, and into a yard before I could stop. Thankfully no one was coming the other way at the time. I took my truck to a Ford dealer nearby. This dealer could not fix the problem. I complied with their suggestion that I take it to the dealer I bought it from. Auburn Motor Sales had it for a week, taking it to another business for alignment work prescibed by Ford engineers. When I called they told me it was fixed. After a test drive I found that it was not. I had to take a dealer employee with me to demonstrate the problem that they said was fixed. Auburn Motor Sales kept the truck for another week, getting more work done by an outside business. When I called again they told me that they had done all the work directed by the Ford engineers, and the 'condition' still existed. Therefore, (according to Auburn Motor Sales) it must be normal. This is, of course, convoluted logic. Auburn Motor Sales will not do anything for me because they say the truck is normal. Of course it is not, as it still pulls very hard to the left when stopping quickly from 50 mph or faster. I have called the Ford customer assistance line several times. They have documented my 'concerns' but say they can't do anything to help. I have asked the dealer to get a Ford representative involved, but they will not. I have had the truck in to Auburn Motor Sales two other times for a hard shifting manual transmission, knocking engine, and wandering in the steering. The dealer refuses to give me a ticket for each time I brought the vehicle to them. This is in violation of Indiana State law. At this point I have contacted the arbitration board for paper work to start the arbitration process. The dealer still has the truck on 1 April. My truck is unsafe to drive and this Ford dealer can't fix it, yet they refuse to refund my money, or replace the vehicle. I can't drive it and I sure can't sell it the way it is. Please help me.

Thank you

Mike Quirin.
