I was in a car wreck... I came to find out progressive paid the other person. I knew this was an error. So i purchased the accedent report at my own cost. It said that i was not at fault.
The accedent listed the other person at fault for failure to give right of way. Progressive will not make the claim right, they keep telling me that i would have to pay anyway beacuse the driver of the other vehicle wasn't the owner. (they said that it was bailment) talking to other ins companies they dont have a clue... What this means. I have filed a complaint in almost every contact i can find.
To make things worse they told me that they didn't even have an accedent report. So i faxed it to them. Nothing happend but they said that they would put a note in my file so the rate wouldn't go up.
I was told that the only way i can get my car fixed or replaced was to sue the driver and owner of the other vehicle in small claims.
I want to know if i can sue progressive and have them do this right... And can i go to the media and report this on the 6:00 news. To say the least i will be finding another insurace company.
Other general info pertaining to the accident State alabama, appx 6:00 at night, roads and weather clear, and i was doing the speed limit. (progressive said otherwise) the accident report agrees with me...
