Lowes 1-800-Pack-Rat
I would like to say something about our move to the Sunny state of Florida. Margie and I sold our house in Roscoe Illinois and moved full time to Florida. When we were looking for a company to move our stuff, I picked out 1-800- PACK-RAT from Lowes. I got a 16x8 container put in front of my garage. The container was very clean and water tight. It had 2 swinging doors at the back for easy loading. They even gave me a security lock. They picked it up from all 4 corners instead of winching it up on a truck. The container stayed level the whole time. The driver was GREAT making sure that we had everything we needed. They even supplied us with moving blankets. 20 of them, more than enough. I shipped a 750 pound safe and a grandfathers clock down in the container. NOTHING was damaged or even moved in transit. After they pick up your locked container, they put it in a storage, it does not sit outside in the heat. They put the container a Climate-Controlled Warehouse. The only time it was outside was when they put it on a flat bed trailer. I used to drive semi truck and knows how things ride on the road. When it was delievered to our house in Florida, it looked just like it did when I closed the doors in Illinois. I really like the swinging doors. Much better than roll up. When you have a roll up door, things fall against it and makes it hard to open. Not so with swinging doors. I would highly use them again in the future.
