Recently I had been admitted into the hospital and was off from work for two weeks. Upon my being off from work, I received no compensation from my employer because I am a contractor and do not receive paid time off benefits. I made payment arrangements and yet I have received daily calls (sometimes several calls a day) from representatives pressuring me to make a payment on that day.
The reps even harassed personal references I have listed. I have requested on several occasions that they stop calling my place of employment and my personal references, they have continued calling my job and using profane language.
I was threatened to be sued, have my car repossessed, and have the vehicle reported stolen. I fully understand when I applied for my car that I was obligated to pay on time, every time, however my becoming ill was beyond my control and like so many other consumers I was unprepared for it. I was also under the impression that payment arrangements would not be held against you.
I will also go as far as posting signs around the dealerships warning people not to buy, it is bound to hurt your sales.
