I submitted a recipe for a contest sponsored by Sutton Home Wines. They disqualified my entry because I used measurements such as 1/8 1/4 and 1/2. They responded with " US Standard measurements not listed in the recipe" I used those measurements in front of each of the ingredients with the appropriate volume per ingredient!!! 0.125 as opposed to 1/8 is stupid for a recipe!
Even if that's how they wanted it, the rules simply indicate "US Standard" which is what I used! They offer as a grand prize "cash prize of $100,000 (one hundred thousand dollars)". Seems as though they want to keep that money and waste the time of people like me to sell their wine. Why else would they make such an obnoxiousness claim about my submitted recipe?
