I worked at Norma's which was the biggest mistake of my life. From the outside it looks like a sweet mom-n-pop burger place. Most of the people that work there are older... including the owner. Everyone seemed nice at the beginning.
A couple weeks into the job the owner came in and was upset with something going on in the kitchen. I was the first person in his line of fire. He started cussing me out and telling me I was stupid for (like that was my job)... I was told I was stupid on a regular basis by the way. And in front of guests.
He felt the need to tell all his female employee's they were fat and needed to 'start stretching or working out or something to get rid of those disgusting muffin tops' or 'If you take another bite of that your ass will be the size of *'s.' 'If you take another drink of that milkshake my wife will have some size 14 hand-me-downs for you.' 'I was going to get you guys insurance but I think it would be better to get all your asses some gym memberships.'
To top it off he paid all of his Mexican employee's under the table along with a few of the server's to make his taxes less. He would regularly come in and take money from his safe and then accuse people of theft. When my pay suddenly dropped without any notice I asked ONE question about it and I was fired the very next day!
He is a shameful restaurant owner and he has an ugly soul.
