Splinter in mouth

I got a splinter lodged in the back of my mouth/throat, from the sausage lollipops (that are served on wooden skewers), had to go to an immediate care and get it surgically removed and could barely eat for a couple days from the pain. Have contacted them and no response yet. The owners are very shady.
