My boyfriend and I went to IHOP (5655 Broadway, Bronx, NY 10463) on Aug, 29th 2011. I ordered Maui Crunchy Shrimp but I didn't get what I ordered. First of all, there was no pineapple glaze sauce (the waitress told me AFTERWARDS that they didn't have the sauce because of the Hurricane Irene, and offered tartar sauce.) The shrimp was not lightly fried as menu said, more like heavily battered and fried small pieces. I didn't get the broiled red potates, but
fried regular potatoes, like home fries.
When I complained, the waitress insisted those are red potatoes, and offered to replace them with mashed potatoes or french fries, and DRY Broccoli on the side. It made me pretty upset because she was talking to me like I was the difficult and picky customer. As a customer, I have the right to receive what I ordered and if amything's not available that day, she should inform customers when taking orders. On top of everthing else, I realized later I didn't get salad nor soup I was supposed to get, either. Our bill and tip was total of $42. What a rip off and teriible service. I used to be a waitress so I wonder how you train your employees here. Bottom line, I ddidn't receive the food I ordered.
