I purchased $50 value gift certificate from Restaurant.com for $20, thinking I got a great deal, but when I went to redeem it, it required me to spend $100 18% gratuity before I could use the gift certificate.
In big prints they promoted the $50 value, but in tiny print they may have stated the requirements, but I did not have the time to read it. I called to ask for a refund but they turned me down. Their customer server line has over 60 minutes wait time.
It's easer to say away from them, but if you are in the same boat as me, be on the lookout for a class action as many people are ripped of like this. Some day the court may give you some refund: (
