I used a coupon from my local grocery store and ordered 2 pizzas from Papa Johns, Grand Valley State University, Allendale, MI. The coupon was for: 1 large specialty pizza plus one large two topping pizza for 18.99. When I picked up the pizza's, my credit card was charged 19.39 plus tax of 1.16.
When I looked at the receipt and questioned it, I was told by the manager that it was a computer glitch. The manager acted like it was no big deal, that it happens all the time and I shouldn't make an issue about it since it was only 40 cents!
This isn't about me being ripped off 40 cents. This is an issue in which thousands of GVSU students who order from Papa Johns every day are being ripped off! That's $400 per thousand orders that Papa Johns (or the manager) is putting in their pocket! They are taking advantage of consumers, primarily those who don't bother to look at their receipts!
