I used a coupon from my local grocery store and ordered 2 pizzas from Papa Johns on the Grand Valley State University campus, Allendale, MI. The coupon was for 2 large pizza's for 18.99. (One specialty pizza and one two-topping pizza).
When I picked up the pizzas, my credit card was charged $19.39 (not 18.99) plus tax of 1.16. When I questioned the higher charge, the manager said that it was a computer glitch!
This isn't an issue about being ripped off for 40 cents. I believe that Papa Johns is overcharging the thousands of students on the GVSU campus who order from them every day and don't bother to look at the receipt! That's $400 per thousand orders that they are putting in their pockets and stealing from consumers!
