I got scammed as well with Prime Time Beef. James Young came by with an employee. He kept making sure that I knew he was the "manager", but the "employee" was the one answering most of the questions and trying to get me to buy. He made the beef look so thick and yummy. He made it sounds as if the meat is better than what you get in a grocery store. He was all nice and everything and put it in the freezer for me.
As soon as he received payment, he got the heck out of dodge really fast. I went to check out the meat and they were thin, but I thought, okay, we will try em'. We cooked them and they were hard and tough and horrible. I called and they said they couldn't believe it was bad meat. He told me he would "try" to get a truck today to pick up meat, but probably next week. I used a credit card, which is good thing since I can dispute the charge, and he told me it would be 30-90 days before I get a refund. I called the credit card company and they told me normal procedure is 7-10 days.
Needless to say, he was not as nice as he should have been on the phone. We will see what happens. I thought it was a good deal because I got 40 steaks for $234 and a package of chicken tenders - that averages to less than $5.50 per steak. Anyway, this is a scam - dont get conned like i just did. Makes me sick.
