I work at Dairy Queen, and trust me I bust my ass off more than anyone else there. I work up front (register) and I am very polite. However, it amazes me how rude people are these days. First off, it's fast food. I don't care if DQ claims it's not, you damn well know that it is. So what does that mean everyone? It means that you shouldn't expect gourmet food to be out within one minute. I have to take orders, pass out food, and make sure the entire store is clean all at the same time while we are usually busy. Dairy Queen is usually short staffed because the stores are privately owned and they are cheap. Secondly, the workers typically range from 16-20 years old. Certain food isn't already made, so things take time because we also get yelled at if food sits out for too long. So sorry if you have to wait 7 minutes for a chicken sandwich but it takes that long to cook. Secondly, with being short staffed also means we run out of things and don't have someone to continuously stock things in the icecream area. Our icecream machines usually are over-worked and then our machines start squirting out soft liquid and not icecream, so then we have to wait for the machines to freeze back up again, which is another reason why we tend to get backed up (then WE get yelled at for it because you fat ass people are so impatient.) Seriously, there are SO MANY WORSE THINGS IN THE WORLD THAN HAVING TO WAIT 10,20, hell even 30 minutes for something. And if it upsets you THAT much, well then you move on and don't go there anymore, because we honestly don't care at the end of the night if you're upset about the things that we cannot control. I serve people, only to them not even cleaning up after themselves and making COMPLETE MESSES even though a trashcan is 2 ft away from them, oh and they never say thank you either. Letting their dirty children smear icecream on the windows and finger print every little thing. And nagging about the littlest complaints. I understand if your order happens to get messed up (usually only one person maybe 2 people do food at all times) so it's hectic making food for DT and front. So don't take it out on me when it isn't my fault. Every little thing builds up and it pisses us off because with all the work and stress us DQ workers put up with only to get paid minimum really does suck. I dread work because of you people. So there you go. Fuck you.
