I was contacted by this company to receive a credit card. They were going to charge a one-time fee of $249.95. I agreed to this at first, but while going through the automated service to answer questions I noticed it was for a pay-as-you-go credit card.
I answered a question incorrectly on purpose to stop the automated questions. I stated that this was something I did not want. The gentleman on the phone (Tony Sampson) said I needed to go through the automation anyway in order to cancel it. I asked for a supervisor and was put in touch with Betty Joseph, who said the same thing.
I was still leary, but decided to do as instructed after being given a cancellation number. The money was still deducted out of my account and so far I have not been able to get ahold of anyone. All lines are busy or the call can not be completed as dialed (even though it's a simple 800 number)
I have also tried contacting the number on top of the check for Netchex and so far have got the same results. Please DO NOT allow yourself to be ripped off as I was.
