I received the letter inviting me to join Alta Publishing. I do admit, it looks good because they claim to pay for the postage, provide the envelopes and $2.00 a crack at each envelope you stuff for them. I was impressed because other companies don't offer this, they expect the customer who buys their package to pay for the shipping or postage provided a customer buys, otherwise your out the money.
This company does not offer the brochures or what is being mailed out so I figured that is the cost of the person mailing this out. Before I decided to do this, I did a search, Nancy Tascalli does not exist on the people search, so I figured this is a bogas name to promote the program, Alta Publishing does not exist on Business Yellow Pages Search at the address provided, however Maria Douglas does exist in several towns in Ca but not in Vista.
The name has changed from KCPT to Alta Publishing. I did a yellow page search and this does not exist as a real company so this is not a big company that advertises in the yellow pages or probably a company name Maria started as a home based business that may not be anything more than a kitchen mailing program started by this woman who appears to take peoples money from what I read on this site and not get the package from it.
Alta is charging $17. For the program and $3.00 for express shipping. I did a further search because I was having a hard time getting anything at all on these people until I just looked up Nancy Tascalli on the http: line at the top of the browser which brought me to this site. I read a lot of replies, the only thing I see is people complaining about not getting their money back from the fee they asked for.
Did anyone do the program and actually get paid is my question. It just seems people are upset they ordered the package before reading this site. Did anyone get the envelopes with the postage affixed to the envelope with the persons name to be mailed? Did anyone get paid for doing the job. This is what people are not saying. Do you have to spend your own money to stuff the envelopes with the brochures that they want mailed? When people complain on this site they should be as rational as possible and describe what is not right so we all know what is going on.
I am glad I came to this site because I am doing this now everytime I get a program in the mail for an income opportunity, if anyone has a complaint on a company, then I think twice about ordering. I was dissapointed to find out that this may not be a legitimate company.
