I am now one of the lucky few who cannot pay the bills due to not making enough to cover everything. I called the bank and ask if I could go on their hardship case. I have been a credit card customer for almost 6 years now and have paid every month on time and often paid it off. I called to see what programs or advice I would be given regarding my cards. I was told there is nothing we can do. I also was told that I did not qualify for a hardship. I owe almost $20,000 to the bank and do not have a job good enough to pay the loan now. Tuff luck I was told. She also said is there anyone I could borrow money from. I said Lady if there was I wouldn't be calling you now would I?
My car loan is thru one of the largest banks on the east coast and they let me go for 2 months. Another credit card let me skip a month. But not Fifth Third. I was told NO!!! You don't qualify. What does it take to qualify, I asked. I owe 20,000.00 and can't pay it, so maybe filing bankruptcy would be the answer. She told me call us with the attorney's information and we would be glad to help. Well I told her then you wouldn't be getting a dime then. This way I would be paying 360.00 a month and getting somewhere. Funny they would accept bankruptcy but would not take a reaged account with payment. Does not make sense to me. Don't any 5/3 employees write and tell me the right from wrongs. I was a collector for 3 years for a world known bank and know what to do.
So I'm doing it. I told my people to contact the banks and let them know the situation before things got worse and they would help. Every bank but 5/3..
Just remember who stood behind you on many situations. But not now. You wronged me..
