Christian M. Dillon/USMAC Law Group
Please don't fall for this scam like I did!

In Sept. my son was born with a very rare congenital eye disorder. He had surgery at 9 wks old and is blind in his right eye. Both my husband and I were employed full-time prior to my son's birth. I had to quit my job in order to stay home and take care of my son. My husband picked up extra shifts to make up for the lost income and is now working 23 twelve hour shifts per month. It still wasn't enough and it wasn't long before the bills began to pile up. We began using our credit cards to supplement the income that we lost when I stopped working. We managed to keep current with our mortgage, but to date every credit card that we own is maxed out. We are now using our retirement savings.
In December I contacted Bank of America and requested a loan modification or some type of assistance based on medical hardship. I was told there was nothing they could do since our mortgage was current.
In January I saw a commercial on TV for Christian M. Dillon/USMAC Law Group. The commercial advertised that an attorney would aggressively seek a loan modification based on hardship even if your mortgage was current. I called the number the same day and explained my situation. I even explained that I had called Bank of America myself and was told that we didn't qualify for a loan modification. I was assured that we would qualify for a loan modification based on hardship regardless of the fact that our mortgage was current. I was told the whole process would take approximately 90 days. I was required to pay a fee of $3,495 up front, which I paid with a credit card of course. I was sent a packet of financial information which I filled out and sent in immediately.
For the next 3 months, I continued to follow-up with Christian M. Dillon/USMAC Law Group every 10 days. My case was shuffled around to 4 different processors in a 3 month period. Everytime my processor was switched, I was asked to submit the same paperwork over and over again. I never once spoke to an attorney during this entire time. I was repeatedly told that the hold-up was Bank of America and that we needed to wait for my case to be assigned to a Bank of America negotiator.
To make a long story short, here we are a year later and still no results. 30 days ago I threatened to file a complaint with The State Bar of California if I did not receive a call back from an attorney with the status of my case. I received a call back from Sarah Headburg who claimed to be an attorney. I was told that my case was assigned to a Bank of America negotiator in August and that the process would take 90-120 days from that point. I contacted my processor today to get a case status and I was told that we do not qualify for a loan modification. My processor then proceeded to offer me assistance with a short sale.
It is absolutely unconscionable what Christian M. Dillon/USMAC is doing. This company is taking an astronomical fee from people who are struggling financially and then promising to aggressively get a loan modification. They have not done anything that I could not have done for myself over the past year. The $3,495 that I paid to them could have been used to pay my son's medical bills. I have demanded a full refund. If I am not refunded in full within 5 business days then I will file a formal grievance with The State Bar of California. I urge anyone who has lost money to this company to file a complaint with The State Bar of California.
