TD Bank is charging fees based on the largest transaction so that the earlier transactions go in overdraft. This has happened before and I informed them that if a debit card is used and once the money has been authorized, that money is set aside for the merchant. If another transaction comes in, the bank will honor the other merchants that have a higher amount so that the consumer is charged high fees. This is not accounting! Even if a transaction occurred a few days earlier, the bank will still honor the other merchant that came after the earlier one. This is highway robbery. The teller told me that it is nothing they can do, it is the way their system process the debit and credit transactions.
