I have responded to NCO twice in writing about a debt that was turned over to them that I do not even owe! I have also received a phone call from NCO.
I fired a auto transport company for not living up to their contract and not picking up my acr within the stated time frame.
I had put down a 200.00 deposit for the 1150.00 total transport fee.
After I fired the auto tranporter I called my credit card co. And explained all the details and dates of what had transpired. My credit card co. Refunded my 200.00 deposit to me.
The auto transport co. Then turned me over to NCO for the entire 1150.00 transport fee.
I do not owe this debt at all. I fired them after 10 days and they never provided a service of any kind to me. They wouldn't even return my calls after they got my deposit.
I have all records of calls, emails, letters etc to prove my case.
After responding in detail twice by mail to NCO, they then called my home.
They said they'd never received my written reponses and "What are you going to pay?"
I became irate and responded, "tThis company never did anything for me and violated their own contract 3 times, I'm not paying a dime!"
I also added that I have contacted every agency I can think of to file a complaint on this auto transporterand I told NCO "Do NOT bother me again!"
The man replied "Lady, do you realize this is going to collections? I said "Go ahead."
I have a spotless credit record and this NCO Co. Can ruin it for a debt I don't even owe?
This can't be correct. If it is then something needs to be done and I don't tire easily.
