A call was made by Robert Kane of CAMCO saying Laurence Page, my husband, owed a FirstCard Visa bill for $3,043.92 from 1992.
Later a bill arrived from this company stating the same information. Another call was received and when he asked what had been charged he was told that if they sent that information he would have to pay the whole amount or he could send them $1100 and the bill would be considered paid.
My husband called his attorney and was told not to pay, agree to pay, or sign anything with this company.
My husband has never had a FirstCard Visa card. When they called back we told them we had contacted our attorney and had found information about them on Rip Off.
They have not called back. This was started the first part of July... The bill was dated July 12. The last call was made on July 28th and that was the call that they were told we had contacted our attorney.
We live in a Senior Citizen Mobile Home Park and feel the scam was aimed at Seniors.
