Well I was scammed also but I was able to get in touch with my bank before they got me. How this all started was i had a call from a Al Mclean he tould me I was approved for a 2500.00 mastercard and a vacation. I listened and then I heard the part that at that point I should have hung up. "Melissa all you have to do is pay 339.15 and you will recieve the card and the vacation package in the mail."
I kept saying no but I stayed on the phone. Then I finally told him I would have to talk to my husband and then he said he would call me back. I said that was fine. He also gave me this info on how if this was a fraud i could call the police and have them get the call and then i would be able to press charges because I had the time of the call his name and date. SO once again I said call me back.
As soon as i got off the phone with him I called the phone number he gave me and I talked to this women and she told me the same thing he did and then asked me if I wanted to do this and i said yes she had a Melissa call me back and she started to take my info. She also tould me that I would get my signature card in the mail and that I would probably have the card before the amount was even taken out of my checking. So she really did make me feel a bit better about everything. She also told me that i would be able to move the payment up to 6 times so once again i was feeling better. So she then transfered me to this guy and he told me everything was going to be recorded for security purpose and he got all that. SO it has now been a week and no info or signature card has came so I found this wounderful website and I was able to have the stoped payment done thank god.
