Rip-off! False late fees and refusal to send account statement or payment history

Liberty Bank falsely charged $30 in fees to my account claiming payments were late. I wrote and called five different times saying I disputed the charge and asked for proof of the alleged late payments but Liberty Bank refused. Liberty Bank has even refused my request for a copy of the current account balance and a statement of past payments applied to the loan.

Since I opened this dispute I have yet to receive a single accoutn statement from Liberty Bank. What are they trying to hide? I asked the Iowa Better Business Bureau for assistance in resolving the matter but Liberty Bank responded that they would not send any information and would only give me information on my account if I appeared in person at their office.

Liberty Bank knows full well that their office is over 460 MILES from my home in Chicago. How can a bank possibly justify refusing to mail a customer a statement of their account??? Liberty Bank's behavior is ridiculous and violates every ethic and standard of customer service. I have filed a complaint with the Iowa Attorney General questioning the legality of a bank to wittholding account stataments and payment histories from a borrower?
