My daughter moved to Europe right after college and because of communication problems, her student loans were turned over to GRC. On top of the regular 6.8% interest rate, GRC is charging 19.5% for the first 9 months of rehabilitation, after which they are lowering it to 18.5% for the reminder of the loan. How can they legally get away with it? This is usury! A person has a hard time making payments due to low income and to"help them out" they are charged almost 20% interest?
