Robbie Ext 313, James Best, Mandy-supervisor Almost ripped me off for $249.00 for a master card and got some personal information

I got a call on my cell phone and the representative "sales rep" asked for my husband. When I said that he was unavailable the sales man, Robbie at ext 313, decided he would talk to me. He said that my husband had filled out an application about 6 months ago and had been approved for a mastercard with a $2000 limit, 0% interest for 3 yrs, and would be increased to $6000 within 6 months if all payments were on time. After the 0% interest period was over the interest would be no more than 8% EVER!

They just needed some personal information and $249.00. I gave Robbie my husband's cell number and told him to call. He did and my husband thought it was an ok deal and at first I agreed. It wasn't until I received a call back from Robbie wanting the routing number for our checking account. My husband had agreed to pay the $249.00 with a credit card, but was told they strongly discourage that form of payment, and would not put it on as a beginning balance of the new mastercard. My husband told Robbie they could deduct our checking account one week later.

When I was contacted, I told Robbie their was no way I was giving him the routing number 1 week in advance. I told him I would call him on the specified date and he agreed.

That evening my husband and I began to talk about this "deal". We both decided that "something" wasn't right. I decided I would call for more details the next day.

Upon calling the number, a hold message was the first thing I heard, "must have been busy scamming other people". I waited and then was transfered to JAMES BEST. I requested to speak to a supervisor. I was told she wasn't due back for another 15 mins. Her name is Mandy. I then proceeded to ask James for more information, but I wanted it in writing.intial Disclosure Statement, The original credit application, and the proposal for this credit card. His response was that they do not send these items. The application, I was told was filled out with another company and my husband name, address, and phone number were "sold" to Guardian. James couldn't tell me who that company was. I had taken a peak at a very recent credit report from the 3 CRAs and there was NO inquiry from Guardian, or 6 months ago when it was said that he had filled out the application.

We almost got taken for $249.00. My husband and I are already dealing with mistakes not of our doin on our credit reports and we are not about to be suckered again! How dare anyone try to rip off very hard working TEXANS. The Attorney General and the Federal Trade Commission will be hearing from us. Not to get our money back, but to stop them (Guardian Financial) from getting someone else. Hopefully you are LUCKY and have researched this company first, but likely not and we are very sorry. It was just a gut instinct that kept us from getting suckered.

I will be calling this company everyday until I can speak to the elusive MANDY! They will get a piece of my mind!

Anyone that reads this head this warning GET IT IN WRITING. If they won't then they are no business you want to do business with.
