On April 9 I was notified that I had been sent to collections by a tow company, that had towed cars that at one time somebody sent in a release of liability in my name. I am the owner of a business who takes care of a vehicle donation. My name had been sent to this collection agency Data Line Credit Corp.
However I keep all the copies of release of liabities and bill of sales. I have contacted Norm Rogers at Data Line so that I can present these to him. Norm, however, wont even tell me what kind of cars they are. He has given me the VIN numbers, but I am unable to locate them by the VIN since the cars are catagorized by the make.
When I contact Norm and ask about the year, make, and model, he tells me it would do no good, since DMV did not show him a record of these release of liability. I turn about 400 release of liabilities my self for my company I know that not all these always get processed. Which is no ones phalt DMV does deal with a lot, but this Norm will not even try to work with me on clearing this up. He calls me names and threatens me with court, and tells me I better just pay.
