Ripoff Interest rate increase payment on time never missed payment

I opened my credit card bill and The first thing I noticed was the interest rate increase from 12.99% to 27.99%. This had to be a mistake.

I called to find out what was going on, I was told I held too many other credit cards and I've never been late on paying any of my bills. Then, I was shortly transfered to a Bank One Rep. Who told me that the company sent a letter explaining this to me in February. I never received this letter or anything else.

I am going to make a complaint to my State Attorney Generals Office and look at the banking regulation for my state. My contract states, there will be no rate increase unless of late payment or non payment.

I have always taken great pride in paying my bills on time. I have built a good credit rating, now I am afraid this may ruin it. Thanks for Nothing Bank One formally First USA.
