There is a gold scam. A man called Kevin Tyrrell whose mail signature is:

Will contact you proposing to buy many kilos of gold for million dollars value. He pretends to be from Oman, or Beirut, Lebanon or Milan, Italy. He wants you to meet him somewhere and bring kilos of gold along with you, and he will pay in cash.
He says that they have millions of dollars in a Swiss bank in Lugano, Switerland and if you ask evidence, he sends a jpg file with a stack of banknotes, you can find on google images as many as you want of them.
If you analyze his mail header you can see he is typing from places close to Milan, Italy and he says he's there for business, after you let him notice.
