I just recently found out about "home typing/clerical" work and did a web search and found the Ameri-Type website. Below are exerpts taken from the main page (sorry for the length):

Paychecks are paid on the 1st and 15th each month!
This is legitimate home employment that is not a get rich quick job, but you can make a part time income fairly easily. If the answer is YES - I want to make this kind of easy money with some effort simply follow the instructions at the end of this letter. The cost of the program is $9.00. This is for your registration fee and for the startup kit. THERE ARE NO REFUNDS, so serious applicants only please. If you are not accepted to our program your $9.00 will be promptly refunded!
I was skeptical at first, the $9 fee, but I've seen other programs which are much more expensive. But I figure, $9, with 2 email addresses I'll earn it back. I was under the impression I'd be doing something completely different than the program entails. Basically, you place ADS and get paid for referrals either to the program or to the store. Certainly not compiling address lists! And, as far as receiving "hand-written names & addresses"? Hasn't happened yet. So I guess I've been scammed. I'd like to get my $9 back, but who knows. If all else fails, I'll try to make it work, in my spare time. Even though no refunds, can I claim "dishonest advertising" as a means to get people to sign up?
